The training.

The benefit of being part of a business, which is only three years old, means that each of the team knows what it feels like to be new  and how important it is to have someone on hand to answer all your questions and support you through your initial training period. However, ongoing training and development are just as important as induction, so you'll always be learning and improving.

  • Pre-planned and tailored induction process for every new member of the team, at whichever level they join
  • Designated "Coach Consultant" for all new consultants to ensure they have the best possible start to their career with the McCarthy Group
  • Active Personal Development plan in place for all team members to identify training needs and areas of development
  • Bi-annual appraisal session to ensure that you are getting everything that you want to out of your McCarthy career
  • 1-2-1 time with Kate McCarthy; whether to talk about your performance, your career aims or ideas for the business
  • Development programs to support those who strive to achieve the next level within the business, including technical skills training and individual 1-2-1 support
  • In-house and external training sessions focusing on a variety of "hot topics" to help the team to perform to the best of their ability, as well as to understand changes to the Recruitment marketplace
  • Learning & Development Manager to support overall training support and direction, making sure that as well as achieving the day to day requirements, you can keep on pushing yourself forwards

The recruitment process.

Even though all of the above has hopefully given you a good taste of what it's like to work for the McCarthy Group, we make sure that at the point where you accept an offer from us, you know exactly what your role will involve, what the ups and downs could be and why McCarthy is right for you.   • Individual conversations with relevant team members to give you a true picture of what the day to day of your role would be
  • A work sample - a chance for you to be in the hubbub of the office, meet the whole team and experience a day of "McCarthy Life"
  • Meeting Kate McCarthy - understand the principles and ethics that the business has evolved from and discuss the role that you are interested in
